However, despite all the efforts, we usually get to hear that “Disney Plus is not working on a projector” or “Disney Plus does not work on a projector”. Want to know why?
Why Does Disney Plus Not Work on a Projector?
For the record, Disney Plus can be enjoyed on a projector easily without any issues. All you have to do is to follow the right procedure.

All you have to do is replace the cable with the HDCP (High Bandwidth Digital Content Protection) compliant cable and follow the correct procedure.
The projector can have or can not have an HDMI port, therefore the solution would not be the same.
If your projector does not have an HDMI port
Unfortunately, if your projector does not have an HDMI port. You can not watch Disney Plus on a projector.
In this case, there is only one solution. You have to make peace with watching Disney Plus on TV.
If your projector has an HDMI port
If the projector has an HDMI port, chances are you might have been using the unsupported HDMI cable.
Replace the unsupported HDMI cable with an HDCP 2.2 HDMI cable and follow the build a connection appropriately.
Therefore, bring the right HDCP connecting cable. Assuming your projector supports HDMI connection, here is what more would be required to do;
- Plugin the projector’s power cord in a reliable power source and switch on
- Change the source on the projector to HDMI
- Plugin the HDMI cable to the projector’s HDMI port (It can be spotted at the back of the projector)
- Power on laptop/Chromecast/Amazon Fire Stick
- Connect the High Definition Multimedia Interface cable to WIFI
- Download and launch the Disney Plus app by following the instructions given by the manufacturer
- Signup to Disney Plus if you haven’t already or sign in if you are a regular viewer
- Wait for Disney Plus to serve you the options
- Select your favourite TV show or any Hollywood Blockbuster and enjoy.
