Still not sure which one from the above-mentioned option should be chosen? Here is the buying guide that would make it easy for you to know your requirements and pick up the projector.
How to Find the Right 4K Gaming Projector Online?
It is believed that the bigger screen improves gaming. That’s the major reason why people shift from monitors or television to a projector.
No doubt the big screen makes a huge difference, however, there are a few other things as well that should not go unnoticed. Since you would be spending your fortune on a projector, it must be perfect in all senses, right? Here are a few things that you should find in a gaming projector;
Brightness, contrast ratio
Whether it’s gaming, home theater, or an office projector, the projector should project a bright and vivid image. Therefore, the first thing that the gaming projector should be judged by is the image quality. The brightness and contrast ratio tells what the image would be like.
Make sure, the projector you shortlist and eventually choose at least has 4000 to 8000 lumens and the contrast ratio somewhere between 2000:1 to 5000:1.
Only then you would be able to focus on small details and kill the enemies hiding somewhere far away from you.
Lamp life
Since gamers spend a lot of time gaming, the projector lamp should have an impressive service life.
Almost all projectors these days, even the cheapest ones, have impressive lamp life. However, that does not mean you should overlook this important thing.
From the short-listed options try picking up the projector with a better lamp life. If I have to choose a projector for gaming, I would consider a projector with 50,000 to 60,000 hours of lamp life.
Input lag
If you truly want to improve your gaming, do not hire a regular projector for the job.
The job should be handed over to the gaming projector as the gaming projectors have a few qualities that other projectors might not contain. Input lag is one attribute that each gaming projector should have.
This attribute measures how long a signal takes to enter the projector’s video input to reach the screen. Therefore, once you are satisfied with the brightness, contrast ratio, and lamp life, pay attention to the input lag.
Refresh Rate
The gaming and home theater projector should also have a high refresh rate. Otherwise, you would not be able to enjoy movies and games. Since at the moment, you are looking for a gaming projector try searching for a projector with a high refresh rate.
To be more specific, a refresh rate somewhere between 120 to 240HZ is ideal for a smooth and lasting gaming experience.
Connectivity
Another important thing that you should search and find out is the number and type of input options. Make sure the projector at least has one or two HDMI, AVG, and USB ports.
Compatibility
Compatibility must not be ignored as well. Pick up a projector with Video Compatibility – NTSC, PAL, SECAM, Frame Packing: Up to1080p 24Hz, Side by Side: Up to 1080i/p 24Hz, Top Bottom: Up to 1080p 60Hz, and HDTV Compatibility – 480i, 480p, 576i, 576p, 720p, 1080i, 1080p if you do not want to end up disappointed.
Speakers, Bluetooth, and Wifi
More importantly, the projector should have a speaker, Bluetooth, and Wifi. Otherwise, you would not be able to enjoy gaming as you should be enjoying.
Brand
If you are brand conscious or looking for a reliable projector, you pick up a well-known brand. You would be paying more to not be disappointed.
Price
Lastly, you should keep your budget in mind as well. If you have budget issues, it’s not that hard to find a 4K supported least-known yet reliable option. However, if you can spend a few hundred dollars better go for bigger brands. The branded projectors might be expensive but they would surely be worth every penny.
